About Me

Adebo Thomas

My photographic journey began in the late 1990s at Brooklyn College in New York. During that time, I would spend countless hours in the darkroom working on the many portraits I shot throughout the school.  The only tool I could afford at the time was the Pentax ZX-M with a 50mm, f1.4, lens.  I still love that camera.

After Brooklyn College, I moved to San Francisco to expand my photography investigation which included classes at the Art Institute.  It was there, I ventured into concert photography which gave me the opportunity to document some of the most memorable shows in California during the early 2000s.

It was also there, I met my wife and started a family in Sacramento.  Although family slowed the daily thirst for photography, I always found time for portraiture of family and close friends.  As the years came to past, my love of the arts has grown even stronger now that I have my children and its time to share my work.   Further, the excitement of new technology has re-ignited my affinity with the world of photography and I am looking forward to creating some fun works of art.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
